Coast Brewery Food Truck Rodeo

I had fun pouring beer with Scott from CBX last Saturday night at the food truck rodeo.  It was held on the same spot as the Brewvival in the field across from Coast Brewery.  9 food trucks and 8 SC beers.  Good music from the V-tones too.   Read more from the Digitel.

Westbrook / CBX Collaboration

Got a growler of the Westbrook Citrus Ninja from the Beer Exchange in Charleston yesterday.  A delicious citrus mouthful.  Brewed with a good bit of citrus juice added to it.  Read more here.

Ommegang Beer Dinner in Greenville

Beertopia 2011

I’ll be pouring some Ommegang at Beertopia in Fort Mill, SC tomorrow.  The festival is put on by David from Grapevine Wine Shop.  In all, they’re pouring 150 different beers.  Tickets are about $30 and they’re expecting about 1500 people.  Tickets can be purchased here.

Cooper River Bridge Run > Furthur

The Cooper river Bridge Run falls on April 2nd this year, the same day that Furthur is playing the North Charleston Coliseum.  I’ll be running the race and then hosting my first annual Bridge-Brunch-Beer party before the show.  Opportunities like this don’t come to Charleston too often.  Lemme know if you’re in.

Mill House Ommegang Tasting

The Mill House in Greenwood, SC will be hosting a Ommegang beer dinner this upcoming Monday, March 14th.  The line up of beers is great.  They will be featuring six courses to be paired with different beers from the Ommegang portfolio.  I’ll be on hand to talk about the beers, the brewery, and the foods being paired.  These are the beers:

Mikkeller 1000 IBU

I just picked up a growler of Mikkeller 1000 IBU from CBX.  I’ve had it in a 375mL bottle before but never a half gallon jug.  If anyone reading this knows me, I can’t sit and drink this one solo.  It’s in the refrigerator.  First person to ask if I still have it, I’ll pop it with.  Not before noon though.  Better yet, not before 3.
